Who We Are
Fajarix is a software development company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through fajarix.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have.
Fajarix is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide why and how it is used.
Legal entity name and registered address: to be added before this policy is final. Until then, contact us at hello@fajarix.com.
For any privacy question or request, email hello@fajarix.com.
We have not appointed a representative in the European Union or the United Kingdom yet. If one is appointed, we will publish their details here.
Information We Collect
The website has no user accounts and takes no payments. We collect only the following:
- Contact form: your name, email address, company, project type, budget and message
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address
- Email: whatever you choose to include if you write to us directly
- Server logs: IP address, user agent (browser and device type), the URL requested and the time of the request, recorded automatically by our server
- Cookie choice: whether you chose “Accept All” or “Only Necessary” in the cookie banner
- Advertising data: only on blog post pages, and only after you choose “Accept All”, Google AdSense sets cookies and collects data such as your IP address, cookie identifiers and the pages you view, in order to show and measure ads
We do not use an analytics tool today. Our fonts are served from our own server, so loading a page does not send a request to a font provider.
Please do not send us sensitive information, such as health data or government ID numbers, through the forms.
Why We Use It and Our Legal Basis
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR we need a legal basis for each use of personal information. These are ours:
- Answering enquiries and preparing proposals. Data: contact form and email details. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interests in replying to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f))
- Sending the newsletter. Data: your email address. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can unsubscribe at any time
- Showing ads on blog posts through Google AdSense. Data: advertising cookies and related identifiers. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), given with “Accept All” and withdrawn with “Only Necessary”
- Remembering your cookie choice. Data: the fx_consent cookie. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in respecting and recording your choice (Art. 6(1)(f)). This cookie is strictly necessary
- Keeping the website secure and working. Data: server logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in security, fault finding and preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f))
- Meeting legal obligations. Data: whatever a specific law requires us to keep or disclose. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
International Transfers
Some of our providers are outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, including in the United States, so your information may be processed there.
When personal information leaves the EEA or the UK, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, with the UK Addendum where needed. Where the recipient is certified, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.
You can ask us for more detail about these safeguards at hello@fajarix.com.
How Long We Keep It
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If a contract follows, we keep the correspondence with the project records instead
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe
- Server logs: 30 days
- Cookie choice: 6 months, then the banner asks again
- Advertising cookies: set and controlled by Google, for the lifetimes listed in the cookie list above
We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where we need it to establish or defend a legal claim.
Your Rights
If the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:
- Access: get a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
- Erasure: have your information deleted
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your information
- Portability: receive information you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
- Objection: object to uses based on our legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent at any time: unsubscribe from the newsletter, or choose “Only Necessary” in Cookie Settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect what happened before you withdrew it
- Complain to a supervisory authority: in the EU, your national data protection authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office
People in other places may have similar rights under local law, and we will respect them.
To use any of these rights, email hello@fajarix.com. We may ask for information to confirm who you are. We respond within 30 days. Using your rights is free.
California Privacy Rights
This section applies to California residents under the CCPA, as amended by the CPRA.
We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies set by Google after you choose “Accept All” may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The categories involved are identifiers, such as cookie IDs and IP address, and internet activity, such as the blog pages you view.
How to opt out of sharing: choose “Only Necessary” in Cookie Settings, in the footer of every page, at any time. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal and treat it as “Only Necessary”.
You also have the right to:
- Know: what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to get a copy of it
- Delete: ask us to delete personal information we collected from you
- Correct: ask us to correct inaccurate personal information
- Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for using any of these rights
To use these rights, email hello@fajarix.com. We will confirm your identity using the details we already hold, such as your email address. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Children’s Privacy
The website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure or loss. The website uses HTTPS encryption. No way of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add or change a provider. When we do, we change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
Contact Us
